Risa Recio (b. 1985) is an interdisciplinary artist, consistently exploring and combining new materials and processes in her practice. She completed her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from Skidmore College in 2007. She then moved back to the Philippines where she was able to sustain a creative life in painting by participating in group and solo shows, and freelance writing for different publications. In 2013, she moved to Chicago for the Post-Baccalaureate program at SAIC and continued on to the MFA program. She will complete her MFA degree in 2016.
