John Tennison was born in 1988 in Austin, Texas. He received his BFA from Texas State University in 2013, showing widely in Central Texas in both group and solo exhibitions. Tennison’s work has been written about in Glasstire and The Austin Chronicle. Tennison has worked extensively in the arts in recent years, completing an internship with Artpace (San Antonio), fabricating and installing for various arts institutions in the Central Texas area, and managing a printmaking studio. Tennison is currently based in Chicago, where he is pursuing an MFA at SAIC (2017).
